Dear friends,
I failed 2 times, took premier review and Kaplan step3 live lectures. I was scoring 55-60% on usmle world. 390-420 on NMBE.
Please advise me what else can I do?
I am very depressed, can not get started. I am thinking to use MKSAP or Med Study( books for Internal medicine Board) to prepare for step 3.
My weak point is emotional, ethics and behavioral science, as well as office medicine and follow up. Please, advise me how to pass this test.

Very sorry about that...
You were getting a good passing score on UW..., how were you doing in CCS cases?..., how was your time management?...., did you consider using kaplan qbank?...

Do you mean CCS on the real exam or UW?
Time management was(1-2 Q omitted on each Block),
did not try Kaplan Q Bank(it is worth it?). Is it more imp. to do Qs or know the subject well? That's my dilemma(if you have no time).

I am am similar situtaion. I have done well on practice tests UW WOrld with 56-72% scores(timed) and used UW world, exam masters and first aid, crush step 3. I scored v. high on ccs.
I have failed twoce with score fo 183. First tiem it was computer glicth and second time I had lots fo pediatrics- outpatinet adn continuing care. I scored very low on peds, emotional, ethics and behavioral science, as well as office medicine and follow up. Please, advise me how to pass this test.
I will appreciate any help. Step 3 has consumed my life for past one year.

Dear desperate,
Step 3 consumed my life as well. My family thinks I am stupid, I feel bad about myself, my CV is messed up. I do not feel well cause I do not have time to study and have to work. I really do not know what to do. Even the quality of my work went down because of the unpleasant thought about Step3 that bothers you all the time. And what kills me is that some people pass it without studying and tell you about how easy it was.
One of my teachers in premier review told me that I am too obsessive-compulsive and that I read the Qs again and again and miss other Q, may be that is the cause, and that I memorize the material without understanding it. This time I will be more detail oriented. But tell me, do you know where to find the ethics material and office follow up notes?

don't loose hope, we have come so far, cannot give up now..I am feeling just like you, unmotivated and depressed..I work 6-6 for my living..
I did not have a good resource for ethics, but I searched through the forum and found ethcis noted on Univ of Washington.
-don't compare or you will be more upset..
