I matched also! Imagine that?! Ohhhhhh I'm so happy!!! And since i did not apply anywhere else, i know i'm going to be a neurologist! I can't believe it! I spent so much time thinking I should have applied to more programs or that I should have gone for IM categorical...but I was like, no way, if life wants me to be a neurologist, it better make a way. Now where in the US I would end up in, I have no idea!
If you matched in advance but not prelim, you can call nrmp and they will tell you the state where you matched. Given that there's not a lot of neuro programs out there, you could more or less figure it out. good luck!
As for those who matched only in prelims, even if you don't get an advanced program in the scramble, there are always PGY 2 openings popping up. Last year, Partners actually opened a slot. So don't lose hope.

chaitu, like i said there are PGY2s opening up. try first in scrable tough. If not, I was with an indian girl who was i th same prpedicament as you. She applied this year while doing internship so when she matches, she will be doing neuro in 2010 and thus a year-off in between...

Except top advanced neurology programs, many advanced programs will have unfilled position every year. You still have a good chance to match especially with the preliminary position at hand. Try you best from tommorrow, and best wishes to you!

Hi Guys,
I was a regular member of this thread but didnt get any IVs in Neuro. But I had few IVs in IM and 1 in FP. I matched!!!!!!!!!
