dont wanna depress any of u guys but it seems that most of the programs are done sending invites .. its proving to be a tough year! alot of the 'smaller' programs that i was expecting calls from have been overwhlemed with applications ... i think that neuro coming over to ERAS has made alot of ppl apply .. look at toledo for example .. 420 apps for 4 positions!!! thats 105 applicants for 1 position !!

I just got a reply from Peoria .. i asked em about the status of my application and they said that they're still reviewing ..

So anybody's been to a Neuro IV yet or not? Any experiences would be helpful guys. Please keep us lesser mortals informed of your IVs as and when they happen....so that in case the god do smile upon us we might be at least ready in some measure....
Doc when are you goin for your IV at CCF?

Sorry dendrite, but i didn't apply there (even if I knew somebody near) because my friend last year who had exellent creds didnt get in...sooo their standards are high... of course, my friend didnt apply to hopkins and i thought, why not?! tee hee hee... when hopkins invites me, i will know i can win the lottery!

Got rejection from UNi of Iowa, Arkansas, It seems that this year everybody has applied to neurology and so calls r distributed , i think its finished no more calls will come

what the heck!!!!!!!
I'm on hold everywhere. I didnt get any interview yet. my situation is desperate
on hold from- 1)cleveland clinic, ohio,
2)Yale (they said it is held for a second review till mspe is released).
3)Med college of Wisconsin( they said my application is exceptional...but Iv slots are full if any slot is available im among the first ones to be considered)
4) Univ of arkansas.
Rejs from- U of Michigan, Univ of Virginia, temple, columbia, mayo,
pittsburg.
Most Importantly- NO NO IVS!!!!!!!!!!
Doc holliday- i was very hopeful from Univ of Toledo...did they stop sending IVs????...i am depressed now. god help us!

I call university of tenessee, Memphis and she said ur rejected, I wonder wats goin on, I know one of my friends with average credentials score in 80's( not to offend anybody) and no USCE got around 10 Neurology ivs and got matched aswell in a gud program. And I have got gud creds with excellent USCE and USLors, afraid that Why I choose neurology to be my first choice, may be I deserve something like Family medicine, I have never been so depressed in my life, guys please tell me who r they calling have all AMGS started applying to Neurology now

ur friend matched last year? from what i've heard from programs is that there are way more applicants this year than ever before .. atleast in neurology .. the reason for that could be that neurology used to go thru the SFmatch and only those who were really into neuro applied so the spots vs applicant ratio wasnt that bad also this year theres alot of influx of ppl from the UK ... they changed some of their employment laws and alot of ppl are coming here now ... if things go on as they are, it'll probably get worse in the coming years and scores will matter more and more (they already do!) i think my best chance is to get matched this year cuz the interviews i have are through contacts that might not be there next year .... crap, im sick of this shit !

are you talking someone who has average cred to get 10 IVs in this year? I know you have excellent cred? How many Ins have you got? It is a depressing year. It sounds like Neuro will be one of top specialties in the future. No kidding
