Guys, please help me out here, I am losing my mind.....
I have not got any interviews or rejections from many places you all already mentioned? does it mean that I am out of their list? does it mean they are still reviewing applications? why does it take so long for them ???

Thank you so much! I think we are on the tough journey. I did not expect neurology was geeting so difficult. Hope we all have opportunities to work on this field.

I think we still have chance to get interviews. At least, half of them are still reviewing as far as I called them last Friday. However, I do think to have some backup plan for the application. Do you have any ideas about Psychiatry? How competive is it? I am really thinking about that.

Did u call up univ of oklahoma, toledo, St louis univ, Missouri-columbia? I called them up couple of weeks back..but they were reviewing.

Did u call up univ of oklahoma, toledo, St louis univ, Missouri-columbia? I called them up couple of weeks back..but they were reviewing.
Yes, I called most of them. I think St Louis univ has sent out most of interviews. She said if you did not receive it, you might not be selected. Toledo was the same (4 positions/420 applicants). Missouri has decided it too. Oklahoma did not answer the phone.
More rejections came too.

I emailed a few programs today .. MSU replied saying that they are still reviewing applications ... I was kinda hoping for a call from Toledo but i guess not ! thats the problem with Neurology .. not enough programs and not enough spots in the places that have the program ..

we are holding your application to be reconsidered at
a later date. This is secondary to applicants with more experience or higher
scores.
any hope to get an interview from them?

My oh my--420 applicants for 4 slots!!! And I'm not even applying there...Makes you wonder just how many are going into neurology this year, no wonder we're not getting calls...

dont wanna depress any of u guys but it seems that most of the programs are done sending invites .. its proving to be a tough year! alot of the 'smaller' programs that i was expecting calls from have been overwhlemed with applications ... i think that neuro coming over to ERAS has made alot of ppl apply .. look at toledo for example .. 420 apps for 4 positions!!! thats 105 applicants for 1 position !!
