When selecting programs, what questions should you ask them?

I'm starting to research programs and I'm pretty new to this, so I'm not familiar with specific programs and their requirements. I would like to apply to programs which I would qualify for, and not waste my time and money on those which are too competitive, or those which I stand NO chance of getting into...

Please help me complile a small list of questions or things I should know about a program before choosing it...
for example:

-What are your minimum passing requirements for USMLE STEP 1, 2CK.
-Do you accept IMGs? -Do you have any IMGs currently in the program?
-Would it be a problem if one has taken time off after medical school?
-

-need other suggestions.
Thanks everyone! smiling face

Year of graduation cut-off? ECFMG certification needed for initial application? Do you sponsor visas? what kind? (J or H1B) What are the scores of the applicants that usually get an interview? what are the scores of the applicants that usually get a position at your residenncy program? What are your requirements for USCE? Is it a must? What kind? For how long? What is your position on research?

This is what it came right away on the top of my head I hope I have helped.

Thanks..
What do you mean by" what is your position on research"..
Do you mean to ask:
1. Do you have research opportunities?
OR
2. Do you require research experience for applying to residency?

Thanks.

More like option number 2. Meant that some programs care a lot for research and put a lot of weight on it if you have experience and some don't care as much but either of your options is a good question to make.
