My LORs got to ECFMG on the 22nd of August, and according to the ERAS scanning update, by now my LORs should have been scanned because now ERAS is scanning documents reached on the 23rd of August. However when I goto MyERAS, it gives no record of any LORs in my account. Can someone fill me in on this pleasE?

You will never see a record of them in MyERAS until you start applying. Dessignate your LOR writers and apply as soon as you can. When you apply to programs ECFMG will upload your LOR's to myERAS postoffice in supposely 3-5 business days but they usually do it in one day. Once you apply you will be able to see when your LOR's have been uploaded and available for programs to download. GL

When I designate the LOR, do I have to write the actual name of the LOR writer? Or can I just put LOR1 , LOR2 in there? I ask because I don't remember the exact spelling of some of my letter writers. I'll basically be designating them 'blindly'.

ERAS has 4 LORs of mine. What if I misspell my LOR writer's names? This is a pretty weird way of doing things.

You have to name them, they ask for that once you try to desingnate. You have to adress them by name and position or department of the LOR writter. You should get their names correct spelling because it might look a little weird.

Can I redesignate them afterwards when I can actually see the LORs?

After what? After sending them to a program or after naming them. Because if you mean after naming them you can edit it afterwards but I don't know if you can rename them after you send them to a program.
