nobody applying to peds this year??? this forum is so asleep.  why???
ok, my qn is how many sole pediatric hospitals are there in the us? i've seen that us news and world listed 30 of em, but does that mean there are only 30 such pediatric hosps in the us?
secod qn: how prestigious is it to match in, say a no. 30 [out of 30] ranked peds hosp vs matching at a all-specialty hospital which may be better ranked overall?

you can start with GOOGLE...using the term "Children's Hospital" and counting how many Children's Hospitals are there.
Although not all of them will have residency program.

phew, finally a reply!
thanks minang. not sure if google will give accurate results of sole peds hosps. you need to do a lot of sifting to separate the hosps with peds depts and sole-standing peds hosps.
wish i were applying this year. there seems to be no competition around!

hi, moto. am not applying this year. just looking around and preparing.
as far as i know, minang's already matched at peds last year, and is a very busy intern now!
