Hi everyone, I am having a hard time remembering the important poinst about the valvular dz'z,  and murmers. The only thing I can remember is the pneumonic "mis ass" meaning Mitral Insuf. Systoli, and Aortic Stenosis systoli.

If anyone has an easy way of learning this topic and making it stick I would appreciate it! Thanks

MR,AS--systolic murmur(MRAS)

AR,MS- diastolic murmur.(ARMS)

remember the valves open during systole--Aortic and pulmonary valve s open during systole---Aortic and pulmonary stnotic murms will be systolic---mitral and tricuspid valves close during systole--so mitral and tricuspid regurgitation murmur will be diastolic.
