my credentials are
2006 Grad

Step 1 - 99

Step 2 ck - 93

Step 2 cs - Pass

Requires H1/J1

No USCE, NO research or publications. MPH

4 LORs( 2 from home country and 2 from us faculty(MPH)

Applied only to categorical IM.
got iv from
bronx labenon hospital, NY
Interfaith hospital, NY
Wayne State Univesity/ Detroit Medical Center,

Got 7 rejection so far..

WHOA!! sorry to pull this up, but could you please share with us how you managed to get 10 yrs, 10 YEARS!!! of USCE?? or was it a typo? [most have to hunt for even 10 weeks!]

some one can be a nurse or a PA,before entering to medical school Right?so the experience counts.

Hello guys,

It is 10 years....I've been a Licensed/Certified Respiratory Therapist, mostly involved in Critical Care/Trauma for 15 years... Minus the 5 years that I took off for Med. School... I'm hoping that this counts for somethingraised eyebrow

I also have 6 years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician and 2 years experience as an OR Tech....
I don't know, perhaps it's a far reachrolling eyes

Here is a GENERAL letter from Brookdale

on their web site, they want USMLE 85, 85, us experience, They sponsor H-1, J-1, preffer with research experience also

STEP 2CS: Waiting for result (5th Dec hopefully)
STEP 3: Doesn't seem realistic anytime soon
NO USCE, NO USLOR, NO RESEARCH (bare-bones candidate)
Applied on: 18 Sep
Programs applied: 52 IM, 10 Peds
Program Selection: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
IV Calls: 6 (4 Uni, 2 average Community)
Regrets: Applied 15 days later, applied 30 programs less .

RESEARCH: some back home, 1 paper in a US medical journal
Applied on: Sept. 1st
Programs applied: 50 IM
Program Selection: IMG-friendly University programs and some community hospital (takes many on-line hours)
IV Calls: 20 (12 University programs, 8 Community hospital (including 3 good ones))
attended 14 interviews (money run out) and I'm ranking all of them
