hey guys, i plan to retake my step 2 ck on sept. 27th. i was just asking a little guidance again for restudying.

i took NBME 1 before my exam and i got a 400/193. on the real exam I got a 71/175.

BUT, i was looking on my real exam score report to study my weak areas. when i just looked back at the nbme 1 test, those areas were not weak on that nbme 1 exam, but actually above average performance. how do i gauge my weak areas? do more nbmes? it's like the strong topics became weak for my real exam!

also, what are the stats for those who retaking to pass on the 2nd try for a score of 71/175? worried that i wasn't close to the 184 mark on the 1st try. thanks guys

jokerabc,a small suggestion.do study the whole subjects again,i mean to say ,not only your weak areas from score report, but also all the remaining areas with equal importance.
do UW or kap simulated or any thing in a random timed mode and check your scores.
then take nbme 2(as people say it is nearer to real exam),if u get a score above 500's then only go for REAL exam.
regarding stats,i'm sorry,i don't know.
don't loose your focus, that's the main thing here.good luck
