I have a private question to ask you, i am a MD of IMG, and now i have a chance to go to america, i want to pass steps of usmle and get a docor licence of America. But unfortunately i am a HBV carrier, i want to know if there be some rules to forbid a HBV carrier to be a doctor in America, if anyone who want to be a doctor in America need have some physical or lab examination?

hello
I don't about it in detail but from what I have found out , when you are accepted at a hospital for a residency , you have to take the ppd test for tb and a chest x-ray if needed , and also you have to be immunized for mumps, rubella and etc. otherwise I saw no mention of HBV(and I looked for it) I was also interested about HIV too , if anyone has more information I want to know too.

the problem is probably u wont get a visa as u need a health check for hiv, tb and stuff
