Hi, I am old grad (>10yrs) and have no USCE because I have just moved to US. I have spent 5 yrs in basic research (in medical field, not clinical trials). Now I consider to apply to some IM and FM programs. Do you know which type of program can take research experience and publications instead of USCE if one doesn't have one? Your replies are truly appreciated!

Try university based program. They are the only person who like research. However, most of them have 5 year after graduation cut-off. For family medicine, research is not valued at all. Try pathology if you have done basic scientific research
