omg
i found the magic!
sorry to be so exaggerntating but i want to jupm for joy.
i used to do this in highschool and im so dense as i never did this til now. and myt exam is soon!sad
but anywho...

tutor YOURSELF.
i used to tutor all the time in little school and highschool. i was damn good at it, and always wanted to be a teacher on the side of a doctor lol. i guess its because both my parents are university profs!

anyways, so im flippin thru pharm all day long, wonderin do i reli kno it , yes or no.
so now , i jus talk aloud what the hell im tryin to learn. n if i say it properly i no it.
n if it giberish n im strugglin , ovisly i do not know it well enough!

and i realize, once u say it aloud, or even write it down, you can pinpoint your errors. its very easy to nod along.

someone once said, you never make an error when you read in your head, but reading aloud, you easily can stumble.
and its true!

if we study quietly , the things we are weak on, we may be quick to ignore.
but aloud, or written, any one can see, okay you got those questions awrong on the quiz, or you left that part blank.

be your own critic!

it really helps!
make your own cue cards. or just write the headings down on the side. and pretend you have to teach someone.

if you stutter for a minute, u know you have work to do!

interesting studying method... i talk to myself all the time! so might as well be outloud and productive too! grin

lol great!

i recently started using my whiteboard again , its easier to test yourself, if you can write it out or draw out a concept

good point, also try to answer a post from top of your head, if you have it right you know it is you have it wrong you will not forget that concept.

Now lets pray you do not hear another voice answeringgrin

well, according to our askdoc, he says vocalizing pulls down your speed and efficiency. any thoughts on this from others who have tried it?

i understand how if you sit there sayin it out loud and trying to explain it you are cutting off valuable time. but i think its pointless only ifyou know you know the material .

if you sit there wondering if you know it well enough, then it is worth it to take the time you would spend second guessing yourself- and put that time to test yourself. and eliminate confusion
