michaelis- menten equation describes how the rate of the reaction, V, depends on the concentration of both thebenzyme [E] and the substrete [S] which forem the product[P] V= k2 [E] [S] -------------- Km+[S] V=Vmax -------- Kmax Lineweaver-burk equation is a reciprocal form of the michaelis menten equation 1 KM 1 1 ------ = -------- + ----- V V max[S] Vmax

Micheles Mentin Equation gives the equation in the form of hyberbola graph when taken between Substrate and Enzyme. But, lineweaver burk plot gives the same info in a better form- i.e. in the form of a straight line- which makes the understanding of enzymology a lot simpler
