Hi guys,
if you do an observership in a teaching hospital, but dont ask for n LOR, how can you prove you went there. Is there some kind of letter or certficate that they give you? Does any of you have any experience in this regard.

I did an observership way back in 2004. did not take LOR cause I wasnt thinking of uSMLE at that time. i only have a ID card from that time. i am going to show that in the interview if asked. did not mention it in my CAF though.

why aren't u mentioning it in CAF?
I didnot take LOR because it was only for 2 weeks, and the attendings kept on rotating such that i couldnot interact with anyone of them for more than 2 times.

Because it was in 2004. Not current. and no proof except the ID card.

Ask the office that you set it up with if they provide a letter of attendance. It might be enough.

Thanks bbb..... i asked and the PC was just as sweet as you are....she gave me that certificate!

and gues what ...i just realized as i got my ECFMG certificate...she wrote "JJJ LLLL M.D completed an elective rotation at our institution".....this is the first time some actually wrote M.D after my name...i am happy
