Hi guys,
I m planning to sit for the step 1 in feb and heard someone saying that there won't b exams after this dec for another 3 months. Is there any truth in that?

i have no idea what you heard. but the 2007 application ends with the oct-dec test period. so you will have to wait until the 2008 application is available. sometime in sept i think.

Thanks for the quick response.
Does that mean 1.) exams r held only during oct-dec period?
2.) i won't b able to do it in Feb?
3.) i wont b able to apply for step 1 till sept next year?
4.) if i apply in sept next year what is the earliest date i get for the exam?
i m not familiar with the application dating system. can u please answer me wth those..

no. just wait until the new application comes out. or read the 2007 application first. but wait until the 2008 comes out to apply.
in the past, the centers are on vacation for the first 2 weeks of january.
you can not apply for any other dates until the 2008 application comes out.
otherwise, i suggest your read ECFMG & USMLE website for more information.
