shouldnt there be h/o cold in the family memebers or the pt before the episodes for it to be croup???

F) laryngo trachial bronchitis or viral croup...initiall URT symptoms like cold and coryza ,barky cough but inspiratory stridor plus age less then 3 years
we have to diffrentiate it with epiglotitis or viral croup because laryngotracheal bronchitis and epiglotitis both have barky cough but in epiglotitis there is expiratory cough ,no URT aymptoms acute onset and pt is much more sicker and age more then 3 years..
