ok so i am submitting my application sept 1st in IM, PSych and neurology. Problem is someone has promised me an externship position in PSych starting sept 4th in another city. I have go there meet with them on sept 4 and hopefully start by 4th. Since a few of such opportunities have fallen apart in the past, i wont be sure unless i start something.
Since an externship in a UNI hospital will be a great asset on my CAF, i want to mention it like i will start externship on so n so date but i'm afraid what if it just doesnt happen due to some unforseen circumstances. Then mentioning it would be like lying.
Any suggestions...What should i do?

I think you can mention a future date but when they call you for interviews and if you have not done it. It would look as if you have padded your resume. i would suggest wait till sept 4 th and apply but its going to be big gamble.
