Hi, I have a question. Lot of program websites mention that you require not to be more than 2 years out of medical school to get an IL temp license. I am an IMG...did three years residency in IM after med school. Does that mean I can't apply for a license in IL....or apply to these programs?Or ...I hope not...to all IL programs?

If you are more than 2 years out of medical school, they will analyse your cv and check your "professional capacitation", be sure you've been continuously involved with Medicine. They don't post the criteria for it, but if a residency program wants you, chances are you'll get the license. Chill out and good luck!

Before applying for the programs that state 2 years as "requirement" (instead of "prefered"), call to check how strict they are about it, so you won't waste money.
