1.does one have to start residency WITHIN 7-YEAR PERIOD permitted for passing all usmle steps & getting ECFMG certified? or one can start residency even after 7-year period.
2.after one gets ECFMG certification, for how many years ECFMG certificate is valid for purpose of starting a residency. i have heard ECFMG certificate expires after 7-years of taking first mle step.
that means one can not start residency after 7-years on expired ECFMG certifiacte.
any comments guys.
