Hi Everyone,

I am little confused about which book to pick BRS or RR for path. BRS seems to be concise (about 400 pages) and well written but RR seems to be well written as well but to much cluttered and too much to follow thru(about 700 pages).

so either BRS+GJ audio OR RR+GJ audio??????

Please suggest what are you guys using and why?

Thanks,

Nadeem.

you have to realize that RR has figures too. many of them. so 700 pages should not be a deal breaker!

well... the RR are the notes goljan wrote... so that might help when it comes to audio simultaneously. but i guess it is how you like either one. if you prefer BRS than go with that. whichever you are most comfortable with.. otherwise you aren't going to read it and waste your money...

good luck

Well the RR that I know is the one authored by Dr. Goljan and it's 312 pages not 700. My advice to you is get Goljan's audio and listen them while reviewing his Rapid Review book. Since Path/pathophysio is a big portion of the exam, you may also start these Qs early so that you won't run out of time in the end. GL

Thanks for the input guys.

But, I am still wondering if there is anyone who has gone thru both of these books and can talk about picking one after he/she has written step1.

Thanks.

I have read both rapid review goljan with audio and brs path.As far as iam concern brs is easy to read and well written.Goljan rapid review is too much clutered and its difficult to understand ,just my opinon

well i think if u have the time and if ur willing to put the effort than goljan is pretty worthwhile and im sure u wont have any regrets afterwards.however it is time consuming and while ur going thru it, it can get frustrating cuz it has alot of info. so on ur first read it will be difficult but im sure after that it will be easy to go thru it.

I just did and i can assure u i had easily under 50-75 questions which were almost exactly similiar to Goljan 2nd Ed RR. This book can help u to figure the question much faster then normal and believe me its worth it.
