I have seen 2, both getting to preliminary surgery... My advice try getting LORs from people of your country in the case US LORs are impossible ffor you to get...
Too risky and too expensive to go out there without LORs..

yes, there are! though number of interview calls do reduce, but your scores will be helpful!!
