Hi. I'd say B. Pen-BSA.

My understanding is that when the pen-BSA complex was injected 1mth ago antibodies were produced that bind both BSA epitopes and to pen. Also, it is possible....likely that seperate antibodies to egg alb were form. If you want to know what would happen if you inject pen now, the best answer would be "a" penicillin . It could not be "b" because no pen-egg alb antibodies were formed....not "c" because the egg-alb would not cause a second response in someone injected with only penicillin....and "d" might be a likely second choice, but not the best answer in this case because BSA was not injected...we are told that penicillin was injected.

hello Quinn actually this question was taken from Jawetz review... the answer given is BSA, but no explanations the choice B and C r not correct choice A is penicillin, its a hapten a hapten alone cannot trigger immune response , it mus be bound with a carrier ( carrier has many antigenic determinants)......so the choice wud be B. BSA
