each time a cell undergoes replication it loses a bit of its telomere, explanation for this is pretty long but u can find it in most biochem textbooks. transcription of telomere by telomerase eliminates this kind of DNA damage and effectively make the cell linage immortal, i.e. the cells can divide infinite times.

B, C, E are DNA damages but not symptoms of deficit in mismatch repair and they dont guarantee cell proliferation.

D just means the cells are actively transcripting and translating, this could be any cell, like beta-pancreatic cells.

or just understand that cancer cells has telomers activity so the cancer cells which if apoptize is better for body but they cannot do it...
