Hi everybody, i am so caught up with work and training that i am not finding enough time to study and then taking care of family. Now i sometimes regret having taking up the job but then it is such a nice oppurtunity that i could not let it go. So please pray for me so that i can be able to manage and juggle through everything. Enough of venting out my frustrations, i was able to complete haemonc from IM and Peds and completed dermatology also from Im and Peds kap QB. Hope to do rheumat for today and start another topic too. Lets see how it goes. I am only done with 25 % of kap QB and i only have 17 days of it left so i need to speed up and work hard. study well...

Hey match08 I understand how hard it is to work and study fulltime and also be a wife and in your case also be a mom. I am praying for you and for me too because I need my focus back and get this done. All the best

match08, I will pray for you. May God give you wisdom and strength! Actually having a part-time is very good in breaking the boring studying routine. I wished to have one because I wasted so many precious time just daydreaming. You can do it! Just don't ask yourself to be perfect in everything.

Hi i didn't do much, was able to complete only rheumat from Im and peds. Lets see what happens tomorrow, hope to finish atleast 2 topics and then maybe pick up surgery fora few days. That way atleast i would have finished obg, psych and surgery. One step at a time. Have to send in my application also now that the 2008 application is out. Too many things to work on and time seems to fly by so fast. I don't like my situation and feel like kicking myself for having wasted so much time, i should have finished this exam atleast six months back. well past is past, so i guess i have to concentrate on the present now.

I don't think we wasted time. We had to do what we had to do under our own circunstances, but no matter what we will get there. It is a good idea to read experiences of other people who matched in their first choice eventhough their situation. It is all about perserverance, patience and hardwork. There are different people in this forum, genious, hardworking, fast people, etc. There is not just one formula. Just keep you eye in your goal. Let's keep going!!!!

Thanks Ivonne for stopping by, I guess i shouldn't complain much about my situation because i think the only thing for me now is to get certified and find a residency position. I know and see people around me in worse situations and coping with so many things going on in their lives that when i look at myself i am ashamed to be complaining. Well thats life, its never fair. Was able to complete most of peds stillhave Cardio, nervous system and multisystem questions left from kaplan QB, i guess thats a 150 questions maybe i can complete them tomorrow lets see. thats my progress guys, hope to finish kap Qb by end of this month and not take an extension and i am only i think 35% done until today.

I am back after staying away from forum trying to move ahead in my QB. I couldn't get to QB over the weekend because i was just busy with everything else. I completed 58% of it and have just 5 more days to go for the rest which includes surgery, cardio, renal , gi, neuro. Hope to get maybe renal or neuro done today. subscription ends oct 1st, iwas planning on completeing it by then and getting maybe 2 week extension, so that i can do them mixed. Right now i am doing them subject wise and tutor mode. Maybe i will take a day off from work and see what i can do.

Well i wasn't able to complete my QB still have about 30 % left so went ahead and got a 14 day extension, still have GI, REnal, CVS and surgery left. Unfortunately the extension will not start until wednesday or thursday so i guess just got to do something else until then. i am planning to finish going through the first aid cases for step 2 ck book these two days. Unfortunately i don't have to go to work this week but just sad that i got time off when i don't have the Q bank to do. Well thats life anyways. Howz everyone else progressing?

Finally done with kaplan QB, i wasn't finding time even to do my QB these last couple of weeks, hence didn't log in. But wanted to let you all know i haven't given up and will not. Just things are not going on as i had planned. We started a new trial at work and so training and stuff is going on. I am so tired by the time i get home and then the kids to take care of. I must say, everyone who is able to study full time is really lucky. I am going to try and review kaplan notes now that i am done with QB. I also got the new FA Q&A book for step 2. Plan to start working on it from tomorrow. So plan from now until end of November is to review kaplan step 2 notes along with questions from other sources like books. Will be active on the forum from now and hopefully progress fast.

Hey Matcho8 I am glad you are back. Sometimes we move fast and sometimes slow but the most important is to keep moving because we like our jobs but starting the residency is the priority. I agree with you about the full time to study...I had that chance for a little while...but to be honest It is hard to study more than 7 hours/day but there is time to rest and maybe to exercise...just dreaming... Let us know about your progress and God bless

Everyone is facing different difficulties all the time. I mean all the time. Life is tough. But we will conquer all those difficulties with our strong mind, our strong body and our sincere hope, right? GL and enjoy your study!

Well i had to change my journal title because i am not ready to take the test in december. Have to hit my books a little more seriously from tomorrow. Didn't touch my books over the weekend. I have to get out of the house and go to the lib on the weekends otherwise i will not be able to get anything done at home. I hope God gives me enough strength to over come this hurdle.
