hi all,
i have just received my step 2 CK score and its a 236 / 98.
is that a good score for an IMG...? i want to do a residency in Pediatrics, and my step 1 score is a 247/99. my grad date is 2002, i have 3 yrs of peds residency experience from India, and hope to get some USCE in October this year... do you think these credentials could help me get a residency this year...?

Ok let me give you my point of view:
1- more than 230 in step1 and step2
2- already did pediatrics residency
3- have exactly 5 years of graduation and working in the medical field
4- pediatrics is not to competitive
5- You will get some USCE
Can you please remind me your question again, because at his point I'm 100% sure i did not understood your question. and that is giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Honestly, this is not false modesty, its just a case of someone trying to get some reassurance from helpful people. isn't that what these forums are intended for...?
there are times when even the best amongst us are plagued with doubt...?

jaydoc, u got great scores and in the top of it u r going to get USCE too.then u don't have to worry for sure
relax ,throw your concerns away and focus on match programmes now

You got a 98 and 99....and with your above statement...."even the best amongst us".....so your smart enough to realize the answer....
but just in case....you definetly have a good chance to match to whatever position u want....there shouldnt be a concern.

i'm going to the match with greater confidence than before...!
you know, sometimes when we browse through forums like this, its as though all the scores we see, are 99 / 99...!! some sort of selection bias in my point of views, i think....!
yes, everyone i know has always said so - that i deserve a spanking for the things i do...!!

I will say :
1. either u r ignorant or
2. u r playing a prank on other guys
not everybody on this forum has a 98/99......so r u trying to demoralise guys with scores lower than 98 in CK????
obviously anybody with a score lower than that would feel that if a guy with 99/98 is asking such a question about 'his chances' then waht about their chances?????
No offences meant, but i think its really a stupid and an akward question to ask for a person with such credentials......if u go through posts in this forum u will realise that...
