Hi bbb and all, I have just started preparing my personal statement. I am doing my MPH here and would complete it by next year-May. I am interested in Internal medicine and also in clinical research. MPH has laid a good foundation for my interest in research. I was wondering is it worth to mention in personal statement that I am doing MPH for my research interest. Will this hurt my PS? I have read in another post in which BBB have said that MPH is NOT equal to a degree of clinical experience. However, I am worried that mentioning MPH as my asset will hurt my projection that "I am very muich interested in clinical medicine"---Any opinions are really welcomed!

Doing an MPH isn't clinical experience. But it is showing interest in research. It's not going to hurt you....

I think you can mention it if you are applying to programs that offer research.
