symsptoms difference in neurolept malig syndrome vs SEROTONIN syndrome?

differentiating symtom??

The clinical features of NMS and serotonergic syndrome are very similar. This can make differentiating them very difficult

Features, classically present in NMS, that are useful for differentiating the two syndromes are:
1. Fever
2. Muscle rigidity
3. Labratory Values (WBC & CK)

NMS (idiosyncratic reaction to therapeutic dosage):
slow onset
bradykinesia
lead-pipe rigidity
autonomic instability
increased CPK

SS (manifestation of toxicity):
rapid onset
hyperkinesia (tremor)
agitation
clonus
diarrhea

Both: hyperthermia, mental status change
