guys i got my score tday. its 200/82. i knw its miserable. do i have any chance at all to get residency?
plus im an img. be honest guys. do i stand any chance at all???

Hi Titly,
Please don't lose hope. I know a lot of IMG with a just so-so score got a match, while I also heard stories that some high scorers didn't get a match. I knew personally an old graduate with a 78/82 score got matched to a very nice psychiatry program because of her research and her fluent English.
Your step 1 is now a history. You can do nothing to change that. Now work hard and smart for the next one. You still have a bright future if you keep yourself very positive.

Hi Titly,
I will study really seriously from today for step 2. I wasted a lot of time this month while waiting for my score. To me, I will have very limited time for step 2 (plan to take it in Dec), I will mainly use FA, Kaplan Qbank and UW. I am going to digest all the questions very well, do them very quickly the first time, ignore my score cause I use them as a learning tool. Review them pretty well for two or three times, and then redo the wrong questions the last few days before my subscription expires. Try to put all the important notes to FA, and review FA page by page for three times. I think for me, this will do the trick.
But if you have more time, maybe you can read more books. I know Kaplan notes are highly recommended by those high scorers.

Hi there. Congratulations on getting done with one of the most daunting exams. You are withing the national average which means you hold a good chance. residency requires scores, resume personal statement and references. you have lots of backing up.
I will recommend you give step 2CK all you have an aim in the 90's. You have great chances of a residency if you play all your cards right.

IMGs need a score of at least 80 in both steps. You can check various hospitals websites for that. But its not a must as I personally know people with lower scores making it to the residencies. All it counts is your overall personality, intelligence, good manners, LORs, USCE and good luck!!!

my score is 79 and even me is not feeling miserable !! c'mon !! there is a path to every destination IF you believe that you will have it and do your best in the next steps and say youre gonna do it to yourself for 100 times a day !!
