2.Hi BBB, i hope you are doing well...Thank you for taking time to come here.

My question is same old....Experience at pvt physicians clinic in pvt hospitals where IMG's take history and examine patients...should this Position be called an "EXTERN" or "OBSERVER" in CAF (because there, it specifically asks for POSTION)...The physician says i should write it as "EXTERN" but peopel on the forum say that would be misleading and illegal because img's cant touch patients...The physician is very confident and says whtever you do under my supervision is perfectly fine...i am so confused at this....What do u think?

I am IMG and nowadays in united states .
There is one int. Medicine Board Certified under whom i observe patients and also take history and do physucal examination.
He also takes me to his community hospital where i some times do rounds with med students and residents and look keenly what they are doing.
Can i call it EXternship and will it count if he gives me LOR and mentions it.
Reply please friends
i will be very thank ful yo all of you.
bye

Many of us have worked with pvt physicians not as observers but helpers who took histories, did examinations wrote notes etc. Lucky ones got LORs mentioning all that.

My question is how should we describe this position in your CAF

.Extern

Intern

Observer

Assistant.

?????

Let BBB be the neutral judge...How should we name this position in CAF BBB? ( i know your point of view will just represent your program but it will give a general idea too....besides i trust you)
One more question.

Do you guys ever discuss/interrogate malpractice insurance issues when Interviewing people with USCE?

I have a question I worked with aprivate practicioner who was in a cmmunity complex setting If he writes me o leter that I take histories and do examination will it be count as an externship? can he write that I did externship Or one need to do externship only in hospital;? plz do reply

So the question is 1. what to write in "position" column
2. Should physical examination be mentioned as part of experiencein CAf without malpractice insurance in apvt physician office.

1. You weren't in an externship program. What was your title? The important thing is that it's under work experience.

2. I can't tell you what your position was - I don't know what to call all these positions. What was your title? The important thing is that it's under work experience.

3. I can't tell you what your position was - I don't know what to call all these positions. What was your title? The important thing is that it's under work experience.

4. I can't tell you what your position was - I don't know what to call all these positions. What was your title? The important thing is that it's under work experience.

5. I can't tell you what your position was - I don't know what to call all these positions. What was your title? The important thing is that it's under work experience.
