Hi guys ,
i have a little problem that really bother me .
all i know about how to get a US experience is to take a clerkship , observer ship ..... etc
and i heard that clerkships are only for students and observerships really don't count .
the problem is i am an international medical student and i have 2 years remaining in my school , the first one is 6th year and the last one is a general intership and my school is really dumb in paperwork so it's really hard to travel US when i am a current student .
so what is my best solution for this problem ( meaning ) how to get a USCE ??????????
N.B : USCE is a must for me as to practice step2cs , lors and to have USCE .

go for a clerkship...
i really regret not doing one...
there are many opportunities to do a clerkship in the US... many univ hospitals have programs for this...
go to your Dean now, ask him about whether your school will accept a rotation or two in the US,
go to the AAMC and do a search of univ hospitals
send emails to all the hospitals you find
you will get favorable responses...
i know this works because i did it... just couldn't follow through for personal reasons - really wish i did... its really hard to procure hands-on clinical experience after graduation!
god luck!

Dear rockingdoctor: WOman jijiji and no I'm from Mexico, my medical school has an agreement with UT and Baylor at Houston, I did a year in there mostly in Texas Medical Center. It was very good because I did my core clinical clerkships there so it helps a lot plus I got very nice LOR'S. If you can get such an agreement in your medical school go for it!!!
