Hi everyone, I am really confused about this, when the programs say USMLE score requirement 80/85 , is it the individual scores or they may consider average ? I seem to be in a bad shape; I have step 1 score 77 (2nd atttempt) /step 2 93/cs passed/1mnth ovservership/1mnth USCE/2005grad. Wont they look at other aspects of my application Can anybody please advice me ? I am really losing hope I shall be thankful for any inputs.

things you have good 1- You got a 93 in step2, some of my friends in residency have told me, that they prefer you have a good score in step2 because is medicine. 2-you graduated 2 years ago, so the 5 years period does not count again=snt you. 3- You have one month USCE better something than nothing You have all the papers to start applying sep1 SO get that crapy face out and put a big and try your best to get in residency

programs are usually strict on their crediantials. They put a filter on Eras applicants when you apply There is a way the can filter applicants through the Eras application system, They can add a filter in the ERAS application system , it filters out applicants based on scores, attempts ,graduation etc etc then skim the applicants based on their criteria. But sometimes you can be lucky and they do not do it and call applicants not based on criteria ,but it all depends how much you want to spend on application

Thanks for the advice zianab. May be I will apply in the places without scores cutoff first and the rest depends on the money factor.
