UW dont seem to make up their mind about this issue: What is the first ttt in asteoarthritis: 1 Weight reduction 2. Acetaminophen. I had 2qs, both with the same request---> best next step in 160 & 155 pounds pts with knee pain & an abnormal Xray indicating osteoarthritis. So which comes first??

If I remember correctly, Best step for long-term is weight reduction and best next step in the initial management is Acetaminophen! I had the same confusion too! All the best cirus!

I would go with A weight reduction. but as mentioned earlier by sprint123, for long term, it is weight reduction & for acute, it is acetaminophen.
