Eventually I passed this step 2 CS after I took the exam on June 13th in Philadelphia. I jumped off the chair when I opened the score report and saw “PASS”. I have failed twice in Houston last year. The first time, I failed ICE, then failed CIS the second time. It was really hard for me. The lesson what I have learned is that "never take this exam easy". Be nice to the SPs is the key to pass. I did make a lot of mistakes in the exam and could not finish 3 cases in time, but I stayed confident and cool during the exam. Never being hesitate to show your sympathy to SPs, who would take every word of you to score your performance. To practice, try to get a partner, who will correct you to minimize chances of making mistakes. In fact, I just self-practiced when I took the exam last year. This kind of practice is far away from enough. I used first aid only previously, but added UW into my study materials. FA and UW together will be sufficient to pass on the basis of correct way of practice. You should be familiar to every case listed in FA and UW before you go to the exam. In addition, you do not need to be afraid of mistakes, since nothing could be perfect. After I went to both Philadelphia and Houston, I could not tell the differences, except proctors in the Philadelphia center are much nicer, since they never make you feel hard. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck to all of you.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have two questions... 1. What would you say you have done differently between the first and the second that made you pass the ICE and fail the CIS? 2. How do you think this affects your chances for the match? Thank you very much, anda again, FELICITACIONES!

I took it once in Chicago and once in Houston and failed both times in ICE. I am sicked to my head with this stupid exam which is nothing but a personality contest. I read FA and even took a one day crash course out in Philly, I did every thing by the book and was extra nice and showed plenty of empathy to all my patients. But nothing still works for me, I failed it the second time with a borderline score in ICE. I wrote and my writing is not the best but what is ironic is that I pass on doctor's notes and failed on data gathering the first time and the reverse happened to me on the second attempt. I have passed both Step 1 and 2 and I applied for the 2008 match, when the bad news struck me on OCT 11th and now I am in a massive fix where I have to spend another $1200 send the application to my school and hope and pray that I get an exam date on oasis before DEC 31st to match for 2008. I was wondering if you know anyone that has requested for re-check and have their score in ICE change to go from failing to passing score ............help.......although they warn you that they are perfect and that you are wasting your precious time and money asking for a re-check......can anyone help me please...........

Sorry to hear about it, it does upset when u r pretty sure about your exam's result and it does not come up according to expectation, never giveup, u will be definitly going through, it is just a part of life up and down, have no clue about re check nor anybody know who did re check and it is sucessful experience. I already failed step 2 CS (CIS) and planning to do it again by March 2008 but now i need a female study partner for step 2 CS, in Missisauga Ontario. Thanks

Chimera...be strong, I also failed twice, Now will take it in Houston for the third time in November. I requested recheck for the second time, still nothing from that, but will post as soon as I find out something. Don;t think it will change my result, just want to make sure it wasn't the computer mistake. I think SP are more judgeful and show their power sometimes. It is frustrating that somebody like actor has to evaluate a doctor.

Hi guys, i got the paper for recheck, so can tell everyone- don;t waste money!!! They send paper with regular mail saying that the recheck process confirms that my outcome is accurate as originally reported and they are confident that this is an accurate representation of my performance... so just keep trying and keep paying more money
