Cheia succesului consta in a fi foarte odihnit si concetrat. Hope it helped. PS: Eu am dat Step 2 & Toefl si acum dau Step 1 si in Noiembrie Step 2CS. Scrie-mi la mihaican2002@yahoo.com daca vrei sa stii mai multe. Good luck! Mihai

[quote="claudia_i"]A good reason for it is because your chances to get into a good residency program in US are improved once you have passed the residency exam in your country ... [/quote I don't think so. I finished a residency there... Anyway, good luck. Mihaela

Hi Andreea! There are so many books, but I think Kaplan books are the best. If you want more details feel free to ask me on pm. Good luck, Mihaela

Alina, I took step 1 some weeks ago and I could tell you sth more about this exam. Firstly, it's not that bad. I mean it tests a lot but nothing too difficult if you learned hard. Secondly, it is designed to test how much you can actually mug up. Lots of Pathology, Pharmacology and Physiology as well as consistent Anatomy, Cell Biology and genetics. Also tested: Microbiology & Immunology. In one word: everything. So, you must learn as seriously as you can 'cause it's not that difficult. Honestly. Unfortunately it takes a lot of time and the testing conditions are rather miserable and below any expectancy here in Romania. But you will get used to that soon after you have entered the testing room. Hope to hear from you soon.

Learn hard Andreea. With some luck, you may be able to pass it. It's difficult, but not unapproachable. And stop finding doctors here, unless you try to smuggle yourself in USA.There are few doctors available here willing to make such a compromise. However, you should instead concentrate on the exams and try to achieve a high score. You will not need thus to meet any romanian doctor here. Keep your dignity unspoiled. You are a medical doctor for God's sake !!!!! Hope it helped.
