thus if diameter is increased by twofold means that radius also inc by twofold and so resistance dec by a factor of 16(2 raised to power 4)
this also means that flow inc by a factor of 16.
i did it this way and reached ans as 1600

q8. my query: is the PBS given so that we can compare size of RBCs with the neutrophil and thus arrive at diagnosis, or is there something else that needs to be understood here?

Plz Look At the Pic on Pg 212 in Goljan RR 2nd Ed fig 11-10. I believe its the exact same picture used. apart from that We have Large Cells RBCs and some Tear Drop Cells. There is not much area of Central Pallor in the other Cells. Besides the Obvious Neutrophil u can also see the Count has been Decreased slowly heading towards Pancytopenia. If they dont show u the Cell then they will give u the more nearer picture of the answer. I mean wht the answer shud be.
