hullo everybody,
i have a problem-i am applying to anesthesia and internal medicine both.
i also need to apply for prelim year in internal medicine as a requirement for anesthesia.
the question is how do i assign PS -at a time you can only assign one PS,right?
will the same people not read my PS -one for prelim medi and the other that i assign for categorical medicine.
please clear my doubt.thanks a lot.

oh yes. if you are applying to prelim and cat in the same center, it is just the one PS. so it will be read by the same person. so tailor your PS in that light. if you will be applying to different places for prelim and cat, then you may write 2 different PS. however, financially, the smart thing to do is to apply for prelim and cat to same program cos you pay only for the cat.

Are you sure it is a good ideea? I mean how you can convince a PD you want , in the same time, IM and anesthesiology?
