Pt has a mitral valve replacement. Was placed on anticoagulants and prophylactic antibiotics. Some days later develops sharply demarcated rash on thighs, which later develop into hemorrhagic bullaes. Drug? By what mechanism?

warfarin....acts by inhibiting gamma carboxylation of vitamin K dep . factors 2,7,9,10 . I think its via decreased protein C levels ..that the pt developed rash and hemorrhagic bullae.
