I just came back from CS. It was OK. The exam was delivered very professionally. SP s were good. I forgot/messed up a lot of things. Lets see what is in store from me.

Digidoc website, FA and UW were what I read.

Did not practice enough though. BIG MISTAKE. I thought with all these years and years of clinical practice I would sail through. But guys... practice is the key....as the time ln the exam is really short. not much time to think...it all has to flow automatically. FA is the best book as far as my exp goes. Most important are the first two chapters.

I finished all the cases except one in time. Made stupid mistakes like not counselling safe sex in a pt telling me about not using condoms etc.

Anyways no point thinking over it now... I am starting the step 3 prep right away.

Hotobhaga,
GL to your results... Seems like we will learn about the result at around the same time, i.e. after October 10, 2007...

Justice.....So our results will not be in time for applying for step 3 this year. Will that affect our chances at the 2008 match in case we want an H1 ONLY? when is the earliest that we can hope to appear for step 3 next year?

Hey Hotobhaga,
well, if I make it thought CK and CS exams, I will try to take Step 3 by next spring, let's say in the end of the Feb/beginning or March.

I have Green Card, so I am not concerned about H1 visa no longer... As for applying for match2008, I will need to wait till I get my CK results (I hope I will get them by Oct 1), and this is the time when I/we can get our CS results... Only after I have all my scores I will submit my CAF and send it out to the programs. I don't think it is gonna be wrong to send the appl later but complete rather than early but incomplete... By some reason, I don't think it is right to send the appl before all the scores are in hands. If the programs want us to have ECFMG certificates to be eligible for them, I think we should try to comply with their requirements as much as possible...

No The diagnosis is more than apparent in most cases. In case you are not sure.. well that is why 5 differentials are given. Diagnosis is least important..I guess knocking before entering is way above diagnosis in importance.
