If the bile duct is obscured, what vitamins would you be deficient in?
Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E
Vitamin K, Vitamin D, Vitamin E
Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Vitamin B

confused
maybe some genius out there knows...

yaar should be all the fat soluble vitamins.....so among these top 2 choices i will go with the one with Vitamin K coz liver is involved but its just a fluke...rolling eyes

  #3

I think you've hit hte nail on the hammer with the fat soluble; but do you think Vitamin A or Vitamin K will be most affected and deficient as a result of bile obstruction?

I know of Vit K and E r deficient in Bile Duct Obs. so logically B is ur answer, though i have never heard of Vit D deficiency occuring due Biliary Obs.

It must be vit D as well

I think it will not cause vit.D deficiency because a large portion of the requirement is supplied by converting the 7-dehydrocholesterol stored in the subcutaneous fat into cholechalciferol (the inactive form), which will then be activated in 2 steps in the liver and the kidney respectively, so biliary obstruction will not cause vit. D deficiency as it is not totally absorbed, part of it can be synthesized inside the body, otherwise liver cirrhosis or renal failure will lead to deficiency due to impaired activation.
