I've been reading different sources on where the BEST place to do a spinal tap/lumbar puncture is to get CSF from subarachnoid space.

Is it between L2-3 or L3-4?

What's the best answer?

L3-4 Spinal Taps

L4-5 Epidural Blocks

Spinal cord stops at L2 in adults, so L2-L3 is a bit risky. Also the line from spina iliaca posterior superior goes roughly to L4

Right ! coz spinal cord ends at L2 , so we have to do the lumbar puncture below L2 level , and the best plaace is L4-L5 to be in the safe side to avoid any spinal cord injury . shoundn't be below that level either , whhy ?! coz the inferior level of dural sac and sabarachnoid space end at this level S2..
