Wow this exam took really long, I can say it was really hard sitting there the last two hours, but finally it's over, and hopefully I don't need to repeat it. Anyhow here is my exam experience: First of all I had two audio/video qs. Very similar to one of the samples on the orientation CD. Eventhough there in the test centre they told me to relax because audio/video qs won't show up, but they did. I can't say they were very hard, but they were not that easy. I guess you can get some help from the question's stem too. Oh by the way these qs were at the end of blocks. The rest of the exam was a mixture of hard and easy questions. Please master UW very well, many of my questions resembled UW qs, even some asked the exact same content. But there were a lot of qs where I was not sure about 2 of answers. I had some 3 or 4 liners, and it seemed that my test was heavily centered around musculoskeletal and neuro, and also elderly with abdominal problems. Had some MRI images which were hard to interprete, most qs were from internal, but then I guess I had equal qs from peds, obgyn and psych. less from surgery. psych qs were of two types, either really easy, or really hard, nothing in between. I agree with everyone else you should know the concepts very well and work hard on UW. But my test was harder than UW. Good luck with your studying and please feel free to ask any qs, I'll be happy to help.

thanks cirus soon your's will be over too, wish u best of luck starmoon, I didn't use anything except kap books and UW, no kap qbank or even qbook. also no nbme. I took breaks between all blocks!! even if it was just 3 minutes. some vitamin water, chocolate and even to wash my face and...in both steps I never did two blocks nonstop, I think you just get so tired in the middle of the second block. But that's me. feel free to ask any other qs and good luck. (by the way if you could skip the intro you'll have more break time)

Hi khorshid ....I Got 300 on nbme 1 which correlates to a score of 162. This was on august 1. Since then have been studying usmle world questions again and reading kaplan one more time. To those who have taken the exam..do you think this is sufficient to pass? My exam is on august 29. thanks!

Thank you all for your support, dr.ssar as I mentioned before by seeing the orientation cd you'll get a very precise image of what they look like (or you can visit the website), salsterz I think it's better to take another nbme to see where you're standing now. Sprint thnax.yes finally

I do agree with Khorshid, I took the exam yesterday, it was harder than UW. Also I had problem with time. By the way, does anyone know how we can calculate the score after the exam by estimating the number of the correct answers out of 46 per block?
