For persistent enuresis in school age NOT responding to wet alarms or behavioral, etc, what is the first line medication?
Is it ADH (Desmopressin) OR Imipramine?

WHO doesn't recommend imipramine for treatment b/c of unfavourablr side effects .It's overdose can be fatal ,so caution should be takenwith every prescription.Desmopressin should be the first treatment option before Imipramine which be given inconsiderably smaller dose than that required for it's antidepressant. That's my opinion,if I"m not correct someone should pls corect me

Thanks

"Complex behavioral intervention in combination with enuresis alarms is more effective than complex behavioral intervention alone "
In the current review by Russell and colleagues, "the optimal dose of desmopressin and efficacy of desmopressin vs tricyclics were not determined". Complex behavioral interventions did not have an effect unless combined with an alarm.
