HI everyone here at the forum
I have visited this forum on and off, read some experience and advices to others.
I took Step 1 2nd time this july and failed it with a 72. I did USMLE world, but just once, not twice.
Can u guys plz suggest wat i shud be doing? and I have registered for Oct-Dec time slot so i have 4 months to prepare again, is that sufficient time for preprartion?

you're almost there. Keep reading & don't let a day pass by without readin. Don't procrastinate. I regret not giivng my best for all those years that passed. Do UW again & FA. Take notes fr. UW. GL

i know how u must be feelin... i also failed twice.
i have just given my third attempt...
do keep readin the first aid... the recent edition, n also the UW.
i dint have ne thin abt the lower limb or upper linb anatomy in my exam
nor was the branchial arches, nor the anti neoplastic drugs.. which had taken my life.
so.... just study lots.... u near it.

Good luck friend, I have not taken the exam yet but my 2 cents would be that you must give NBME and see how you score ( the one which is online) Form 2 and 3 are supposed to be best predictors, also which ever Q bank you do , do it online and read all ans. options. Try to go thru your books and FA . FA alone does not stick. But this is only based on my opinion. Good Luck

I registered for the exam again and i think i shud be taking it late december, i hope 4 months is enough of a time to prepare again. Please drop in any suggestions u have and i will def do NBME this time before i got take it

hey.. i am in the same boat as you... literally... and same goals as well...
definitely going to do more questions... and do UW at least twice as well. and note taking too.
i am considering the 30 visits center prep of kaplan so that i can feel the guilt and pressure of donating to kaplan again.
but i am not sure. i have so many reviewers that it seems pointless. until then.... i am going to through FA... and try to do questions everyday... at least 10 questions everyday.

I thought kaplan has motto , promise if u fail, free tuition or ur money back .
It is on their web , at least saw at canadain side, may be on USA site too .
Kap will help, discipline, give vibe to study , motivation , environment , you can ask Q at kap IMG staff with 90+ or their small class, Q& A mind wobbing class too at some center , big one .

i heard about that but does that work with the usmles? i donated more money towards their qbank than the classes. i have older notes from friends. i haven't done a live lecture yet. and i dont' live near one either. i think i would do the 30 visits in 3 months video prep. at least i can rewind (which i will probably do all the time!!!!). thanks for the support ShweHope!
