Has anybody seen the new videos by Kaplan? Are they that much better than the old ones? If anybody has seen them, can you please give your opinion on them. Thanks.

I have not watched the old videos, but I just watched the new ones. This is just in my opinion, you might want to check around.
I think the Physio DVDs by Dr. Kudrath are just PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend it.
And Dr. Raymon (the one who did the old Biochem) has done Pharm this time... ..EXCELLENT!
Biochem in new one has been done by 1) Dr. Turco, who has also done very well (but haven't done the old ones so cannot compare) and 2) Dr. Seastone who is young and new, so kinda average.
Path: by Dr. Barone is again average, but has done a better job this time...for me Dr. Goljan is still the leader of the pack!
Micro and Immuno: by Dr. Kim Moscatello is good. She makes it a bit more interesting.
Beh Sc: Dr. Daugherty at his usual best....
Anat: Dr. Seiden and Dr. White.... same old stuff
Med Genetics: Dr. Vernon Reichenbecher, slowly yet steadily takes you through it.
Physio and Pharm are the two subjects I would say are really OUTSTANDING, all other subjects are doable with the old DVDs...in fact I am sure all are doable with the old ones.....cos after watching it is up to us to learn and recall well. I just elaborated other subjects FYI.

quite possibly cos they might not know themselves about 07 videos being available free. You can try Ebay normally has worked for a lot of ppl.

Hello every one,
I have, as I am taking 30 visits at Kaplan. The Books 2008 are same as 2006/2007, and matched with 2007 " THE Videos"  . They have switched around and added some stuff but basically every thing is same. Physiology is a new lecturer and he is good, many IMGs like him. I think some new faces in Biochemistry as well. I have not seen the old videos of 2007, but some of the other doctors told me. The pathology added hematology/oncology section is excellent and new and I give 5 stars to Dr. Baron. Let me know if you have any other questions.
gals and guys I need USMLE World Qbank, I know its out there but I have not been able to find a link " the free download" link. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Over all I think I've wasted 2000 dollars for 30 visits.
I wish I had know about THE videos prior to enrolling for Kaplan. I don't mind buying the 2007, just in case I need to review something.

you do understand all Kaplan video copies are illegal, the Kaplan rep told me this last year.
Kaplan would not sell for 200 dollars what they charge 1000 to 6000 dollars for.
Kaplan has people look on the net a few times a week to find these things and then they threaten the people with legal action for selling copyrighted material.

Well, I paid 2000 dollars for 30 visits. I was told by some other student/docs at Kaplan that they have 2006 videos that they purchased on ebay and that they are not very much different from 2008, that's all.
I think Kaplan is charging too much money for these courses.
