hey !!! cannot post my experience in my exam experience for some weird technical problem ... any ways my exams was on 22nd june 2007 morning session atlanta center... just studied from first aid nothing else... my all cases were from first aid .... practiced on 2 of my friends who started their int medicine this year ..... all cases were pretty straight forward.... cudnt complete 2 cases on time rest was out in 12 minutes.... PN was done in 8 minutes ... had 1 phone case and 1 paed case ( patient not availabe) had CNS , GIT , CVS, Resp case, back pain.
luckily i had only 2 uncooperartive patients ... but as soon as u say magic words they answer all ur question ... remember they are actors and they r supposed to act uncooperative.... just b calm .. and smile... they willl not smile back at u .. definately ... but they will answer all ur questions .. if u hit right on target .....
my mistakes --- I mispronounced one of sp's name thru out the encounter..( to b frank i wud not like my name to b mispronounced ) but as sp didnt correct me i continued and i didnt realize i was making mistake...
was caught off gaurd with one encounter when sp said i wont do it ( cant tell u wat exactly due to ECFMG rules).... didnt knew it was coming ...... but did counsellling so i guess got a tick mark ...
exams are doable if u know wat u r supposed to do ... and PRACTICE is best policy for CS exams ... Smile and confidence is must .. i said confidence not over confidence...
Best of luck for all CS takers ... believe me its not that bad as it sound ....
by the end of my exams i cudnt believe my exams were over.....

Thanks a lot dear dermatology for sharing your experience with us ... i really wish you a wondeful career ( and hopefully to find a post in dermatology which is really really really tough in the US ) ... i have posted a question regarding the PN on the Support Forum here , but no1 seems to care abt answering , could u answer these questions for me please ?
1- does CTRL+Z , CTRL+V , CTRL+C works (copy paste and undo) works if we wanted to type or PN ?
2- there is a PN simulator on the USMLE.ORG website , how many lines (compared to that one ) do we get for the PN in the REAL EXAM ?
If u could answer these questions for me you would really relieve me a lot

when the patient said i wont do it , do we say : i know its really hard for you ,and i can understand how you feel ,but now my main concern is your health and wellbeing ,so i really want you to help me to help you , and its always your decision ...
what do u think ?

well i didnt typed my PN as not key board savy . sorry cannot help u with that one ..
welll abt PN handwritten space ... its more or less same as wats given in most of websites. i practised on one given in First Aid .... and its pretty much same .....with exception of ur name and usmle id number as ur identification ....
rite .. when some one says i wont do it ... u can say wat u have written .... sounds good to me ..
