I found that it's not a real stratified columnar tissue in salivary duct because the basal layer is cuboid and the second is columnar... Are you sure about your information?

most of my sources state that large excretory duct of salivary glands r lined by stratified columnar . one of them has this explanation for it '" though the bottom layer is cuboidal in nature but the because the top layer is columnar, and it is the top layer which determines the classification, this is called stratified columnar"' . may be u can cross verify and let me know the right answer.

Isn't the urethra lined by transitional epithelium?

The female urethra is lined by transitional cell mucosa proximally and stratified squamous cells distally . The male urethra is lined by transitional cells in its prostatic and membranous portion and stratified columnar epithelium to stratified squamous epithelium in the bulbous and penile portions.

ALSO  Except for the prostatic urethra, where transitional cell carcinoma is most common, squamous cell carcinoma is the predominant histology of urethral neoplasms.
