It is liquefactive necrosis according to the question stated. Liquefactive necrosis occurs in all pyogenic infection or organ infarction in some like brain. Coagulative necrosis generally results from solid organ infarction and has the dead cells with outlines preserved. In liquefactive necrosis there is no such cell outline preservation. Pus formation is as a result of liquefactive necrosis and seen in pyogenic(pus forming) infection such as strep pyogenes. but if necrosis is due to immunological cross-reactivity to strep pyogenes, the answer may change. So, the complete question is needed to get the correct answer.
