Do you think there is prejudice against muslim doctors in the whole selection process??? would appreciate your input... thanks

I'm not her but I will say NO, unless you apply in oklahoma or nebraska or one of those low tolerant __________ places.

Apply to IMG friendly programs and you will not have problems.
At the end this is my 2 cents(sorry nnl for stiling your line) smiling face

USDREAM heres an advice for you!

Prejudice has always existed not only against muslims but people from every race and religion has faced it at one time or another. We may not admit it but We also discriminate others knowingly or unknowingly. Bottom line is YOU CANNOT DWELL On IT!...The minute you start believing in discrimination/ prejudice mantra...your will-powe,r your inner strength will crumble....and then you wouldnt try harder....its at that point that you will likely loose...but not because of the fault of others but it will be your own inner-weakness that will bring you down.

Be Positive....You are stronger than that!

Only in the uninformed physicians - and there is no way against it. Don't let it stop you or slow you down.

Some of the residents that I get along with the best in my program are Muslims - we enjoy the banter back and forth regarding religion. They inform me about Islam, I educate them about my beliefs. When they go pray on Friday, I ask them to say one for me. It can't hurt.

Good luck (and if you run into the prejudiced ones, well, you know that you don't want to work in that environment anyway)!
