How do you guys memorize everything in microbiology? It seems almost impossilbe to me right now while doing my first read. Anybody, please give me ideas and tips.

you know paheli - the best things that remember the bugs are our memory helper T cells sticking out tongue

so you know what to do... increase the memory T cell count!!!cool

best way i think is do uw q bank and kaplan q bank of microbiology (both are excellent) and note down the q summary next to the topic in kaplan micro notes.next time u read it ,u surely will get a link to rememberance.

also approach full micro in terms of that table given in FA which summerises all gram negative and positive bacteria in a flow chart

and if u really want to do more than suppliment this with MMRS.MMRS is an excellent suppliment.
whan u read kaplan many a times u read a stuff and wonder ""WHY".MMRS ANSWERS ALL THOSE WHYS!
PLUS IT INDEED IS AN EXCELLENT VISUAL AND JOKE BASED AID TO LEARNING.
AND SOME CHAPTER IN MMRS ARE ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING

I just start amaze at micro too in kap , mmr etc u name it .
Agree with carina .. Qs kap micro r great , not kn uw yet but am sure will b good too .

hey i am with you on micro that its very hard to memorize, but u know what helped me is Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple....I read it once, and after each chapter I would look at FA, and there are cartoon pics , that you recall when you are doing questions....Hope it helps you like how it helped me....GOOD LUCK smiling face

I have resorted to using CMMRS as well. Many people have recommended this book to me for micro.
